At the meeting, Wang Ninggang, Standing Committee and Vice Mayor of Baoji Municipal Committee, delivered a speech. He said that in this beautiful time of vigorous development and hope, today we are welcoming the 2019 China Titanium Annual Conference to be held in Baoji. First of all, on behalf of the Baoji Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government, he extended warm congratulations on the holding of the meeting. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to you for your long-term concern and support for Baoji. He said that Baoji is the cradle of China's titanium industry, where Baoti Group, the benchmark enterprise of China's titanium industry, is bred and developed. At present, the city has formed a titanium industry cluster led by Baotian and vigorously developed by private titanium enterprises. In 2018, the city's titanium industry realized an output value of 45 billion yuan, and the supply of titanium materials and products accounted for 60% of the country and 20% of the world's total. Baoji? China Titanium Valley has been listed as one of the 50 pilot industrial clusters in China.

Wang Ninggang finally said that according to the unified deployment of the central province, around the goal of "Silk Road Titanium Valley, Zhizhuang Baoji", our city will speed up the construction of a new high ground for the development of the national new material industry, contribute the "Titanium" element of Baoji to the national strategic industry and Chinese manufacturing, and wish the 2019 China Titanium Annual Conference a complete success!

Yu Wei, deputy director of the Raw Materials Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, delivered a speech. She said that the new material industry is an important basic and leading industry, which is related to the development of economic construction and the security of national defense construction. In recent years, China's titanium industry has developed rapidly, with the emergence of Baoti, Shaanxi rare metal industry, Hunan Xiangtu Jintian and other high degree of industrial integration, long industrial chain, large production scale enterprise groups, forming Shaanxi Baoji, Sichuan Yunnan and other regional titanium industry clusters, showing a good momentum of vigorous development. She talked about three points to promote the development of titanium industry and new material industry: first, to speed up the key technology and technology tackling. The second is to strengthen the initial market cultivation. Third, deepen international exchanges and cooperation.

Jia Xing, Vice President and Secretary-General of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, introduced the current situation and problems of China's titanium industry in his speech. He fully affirmed the work done by the Ti-Zr-Hf Branch and put forward some hopes for the work of the Branch.

Wang Wensheng, chairman of Ti-Zr-Hf Branch of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, chairman of Baoti Group and Secretary of the Party Committee, made a summary report on the work of Ti-Zr-Hf Branch in 2018. The report is divided into two parts, one is the industry situation, the other is the main work arrangement of Ti, Zr and Hf Branch in 2019.|

Wang Wensheng said that in 2018, although the demand for high-end products such as aerospace, medical treatment and so on continued to improve, and the price of titanium sponge continued to rise to a new high, the pressure of environmental protection was increasing, the demand of traditional industries such as chemical industry, metallurgy and salt-making was still shrinking, and the price of titanium materials was rising sluggishly. Faced with the new situation, Ti-Zr-Hf Branch gives full play to the functions of service industry, enterprise and government, focusing on application and promotion and two-way service, doing a good job of bridges and ties between enterprises and government, effectively promoting the standardized and healthy development of the industry.

Wang Wensheng summarized the work of Ti, Zr and Hafnium Branch in 2018 from five aspects.

(1) The branch continuously strengthens its own construction, strives to change its work style and improve its service level.

(2) In 2018, the Secretariat of Ti, Zr and Hafnium Branch went deep into enterprises and conducted a series of research visits to the industry.

(3) Establishing information exchange platform, transferring industry policy orientation, and helping member enterprises develop continuously and healthily.

(4) Actively do a good job in the publication of conference journals, annual reviews and literature.

(5) To grasp the information in time and do a good job of service for enterprises.

Wang Wensheng made arrangements for the main work of Ti-Zr-Hf Branch in 2019 from seven aspects: the 2019 Annual Conference of Titanium Industry and the Third International Titanium Industry Exposition to be held in Baoji, Shaanxi Province in April 2019; and the 2019 Annual Conference of China's Zirconium-Hf Industry to be held in the second half of 2019.

Subsequently, Cao Chunxiao, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, made a report entitled "Titanium and Aeroengine". Jia Yi, Vice President and Secretary-General of Titanium Zirconium and Hafnium Branch of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, made a report entitled "Large-scale Titanium Boiling Chlorinating Furnace" by Professor Wen Wangguang, Guangzhou Institute of Nonferrous Metals. Wang Jian, deputy general manager of Baotian Group, made a report entitled "Latest Progress in Research and Production of Baotian Titanium Alloy", and 10 experts and scholars from the national titanium industry reported at the conference successively.

During the meeting, Lei Rangqi, general manager of Baoti Group and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, received special interviews with Phoenix, China Networks and Baoji TV.
